Since launching the original VIGYL Hanlan’s candle in 2021, we have raised over $5000 in donations to the Rainbow Railroad organization—so it was a no-brainer to bring it back just in time for Pride 2024! We took the opportunity to enhance our packaging experience for customers with the addition of a new security insert, upgraded box thickness and beautiful dust cover—ensuring the fragrance arrives as fresh as the day we poured it and in pristine condition for gift-giving. These subtle adjustments make the Hanlan’s candle the perfect gift for all your pride party hosts!

Our customers love the Hanlan’s candle fragrance, so as the saying goes—don’t mess with a good thing! Instead, we revisited the formula to perfect the hot throw so that with each light, your space is truly transported to the beach! Each Hanlan's candle is hand-poured with care, using a premium soy wax blend that ensures a clean and even burn. We believe that the details matter, from the quality of the wax to the design of the candle jar. We use lead-free cotton wicks to ensure a safe and consistent burn. This attention to detail means that you can enjoy the full fragrance experience without worrying about harmful toxins. It's all part of our commitment to providing high-quality, eco-friendly products that you can feel good about using.

- Hanlan's Point is the oldest surviving queer space in Canada, with nearly a century of queer history.
- In the 1940s, cottages lined the shoreline and became the homes and summer rentals of gay people, contemporaneous with Fire Island and Provincetown
- In the 1950s the cottages were torn down and in the 1960s many of the trees on the lawn were torn up in an effort to reprogram the space away from the community that had taken hold there.
- In 1971 the Gay Day Picnic, Canada’s first ever 2SLGBTQI+ Pride gathering, took place at Hanlan’s Point, blossoming into Canada’s queer liberation movement and the fight for human rights protections in employment, housing, and healthcare took shape.
- Hanlan's Point is one of the longest lasting queer public spaces in the world.
